This is how 2 referees rated Sarah:
I am an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who always looks for the positive in everything. I graduated from the University of Surrey in 2012 with an upper second class (2:1) degree in LLB (Hons) Law. I completed the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School, London, achieving a ‘Very Competent’, and was Called to the Bar in 2013. I undertook a Master of Arts degree in Medical Ethics and Law at King’s College London, and achieved a Merit. I am currently working as a County Court Advocate. Although my main interest is law, I am a keen flautist, and trampoline coach.
I have been tutoring law for the past seven years on a weekly basis, to students studying for their GCSE law exam, AS and A2 law exams, and to those studying for their undergraduate degrees. I have been teaching flute for the past 6 years for those of all abilities, individually and to small groups. Trampoline coaching has given me invaluable teaching experience, and I am able to work with people of all ages and abilities.
My approach to tutoring is one of a 'balancing act'. I always try to push a student a far as possible, but always ensure that a session is fun and enjoyable. In my experience, the more fun a student has, the more willing they are to learn and the faster their rate of progress will be.
