I am a French & British dual national. I grew up in France attending French schools throughout my lower education, but moved to the UK in 2010 to study Architecture at the University of Bath. I've always had a passion for languages, which led me to undertake further studies in German and Spanish, as well as to live in Germany for some time whilst still at school (under the umbrella of the Projet Voltaire).
I started tutoring struggling students whilst still in Lycée, towards their Brevet (GCSE equivalent) or Baccalauréat. I've always found tutoring extremely rewarding and enjoyable, from both an academic and relational point of view, and have therefore committed more time to it particularly over the last couple of years. I teach French and German primarily, and have taught a wide variety of students, from 5 year olds to retirees, and helped students taking their GCSEs and A-levels. I also run clubs in schools using the award-winning La Jolie Ronde programme.
My approach will primarily depend on you and what you would like to get from the lessons.
Having been educated in the French system, I appreciate the importance of grammar. However, whilst we will be covering the theoretical aspects of your chosen language to support the learning, I really do believe that encouraging constant conversation is the best way to progress, and I will ensure that it remains fun and enjoyable!
Unfortunately, I am currently unable to take on new students. However, please do still get in touch if you are looking to start lessons in the Spring.
