Personal Description:

I have worked in France for the past year providing one-to-one classes and private tuition. I'm passionate about learning and giving others the confidence and motivation to achieve their goals whether that be to pass an exam or to improve a grade or level. Now that I am back in the UK I keen to help people of all ages to pass exams and improve their grades in key subjects including English, Maths at French at a school or adult level as well as those who are learning English as a foreign language.

Tutoring Experience:

Since completing my Cambridge English language teaching qualification in July 2014 I have sought out a wide range of teaching opportunities to widen and increase my experience. I have experience teaching a wide range of students and adults of all levels of ability.

I specialise in one-to-one classes both face-to-face, over the telephone and online.

I am fully up-to-date with the Maths, English Language, Literature and French GCSE syllabuses as well as the English Language, Literature and French A-Level syllabuses and always use these to inform advice and strategies for exam-focused tutoring.

In English as a foreign language I have delivered a range of courses including conversational English, Business English, English for holidays & tourism and academic English.

Tutoring Approach:

Every course I teach is tailored specifically to the needs and learning styles of the student through initial needs assessment, course design & planning, and ongoing feedback. It's really important to me to get to know my students well so that I can build their confidence and motivation as this really is the foundation for creating a successful learning environment and helping my students get the results they need.

It's also really important to me that I continue to learn, therefore I am a member of various teaching associations and forums in order to remain up-to-date with teaching practices and materials in order to offer my students the best service possible.
