I am an experienced and passionate Lead Practitioner in a secondary school in the North West. I have a lot of experience offering tuition online through Skype, Zoom and other platforms. I am also a GCSE exam marker and BTEC level 3 moderator. I am innovative and able to simplify difficult concepts whilst also being able to extend and challenge when needed. I have studied pedagogy up to Masters level and use cognitive techniques in order to provide the best learning. I was private school educated myself so I understand the demand places on pupils and am able to offer this leve of quality tuition to my tutees.
I have been teaching for 17 years and have taught all aspects of Science across many abilities. I love Science and am passionate that all pupils should find a love of it too. I am a Lead Practitioner in my school so know the curriculum well, having planned for my department in the short, long and medium term.
I also have experience in exam marking and moderating. I have also taught level 3 BTEC Applied Science for years, as well as constructing the course we use in school to teach it. I now also teach AQA Psychology Alevel and have developed bespoke resources for this which I will use during tutoring sessions.
I have tutored for many years and specialise in online tuition.
I engage well with pupils and am able to identify issues quickly. As I am very experienced in teaching, moderating and exam marking, I have a lot of differentiated and engaging resources which I am able to use to teach the courses in different ways.
Online tuition allows me to send targeted resources directly to the pupil in order to support, extend and challenge as needed.
