I am currently a Senior House Officer Doctor at The Royal Marsden. I would relish the opportunity in passing on my extensive knowledge to the younger generation. With the amount of pressure put on young children to perform a school these days, I would embrace lending a helping hand to parents and teachers to further education students from a variety of ages.
I have tutored numerous students and gained lots of teaching experience. I have also been involved in mentoring schemes, as well as teaching my younger siblings; they have all gone on to study medicine, dentistry or engineering at university. So I would say I have a decent idea of what is required to teach.
I would always tailor my teaching to the student's needs. Whenever introducing new/ difficult material, I would ensure that this new information is learnt by thorough consolidation, as well as consolidating old material. Essentially it is vital that I teach at a slow and steady pace, and make sure that the student is absorbing all of the taught material.
