I am currently a part-time Physics Lecturer at a further education college, with a PGCE in Secondary Science, specialising in Physics. Before that I obtained a first class Masters degree in Physics with Nanotechnology. I am a young, enthusiastic trained teacher, with an insight into the current education system and the current curriculum and specifications.
During my time at the University of Leeds I was a Peer Assisted Learning mentor, tutoring first year university students in an academic and pastoral role. I obtained an Outstanding rating in a PGCE in Secondary Science from the University of Manchester, where I taught biology and chemistry to GCSE level, and physics to GCSE and A-level. I have had experience in grammar, state, and behavioural schools, so I know first hand that every child is different and learns in a different way.
This is entirely dependent on the student. I believe in a practical approach with practice of example questions and scenarios, and also the use of past paper questions alongside theory. Tutoring will be tailored to the individual, relating to what they are being taught at the time and what they want to achieve.
