I am passionate about making sure that my teaching motivates and inspires children to reach their maximum potential, ensuring that my sessions effectively cater for my tutee's needs. Outside of teaching, I enjoy keeping fit by playing football and going to the gym. I enjoy cooking foreign cuisine and travelling abroad to visit new locations and to spend time with family and friends overseas.
Currently Assistant Principal and Teaching and Learning Lead at my current school. 8 Years Teaching Experience across Key Stage 2 (including SAT's preparation in Year 6). I have taught primary Maths and English in Jamaica as well as teaching English as an additional Language in the Middle East. Taught across the Key Stages and I have been a school mentor for trainee teachers who are doing their PGCE's.
I believe that it is vital that every moment during a lesson is maximised to ensure that children gain the richest learning experience in the safest possible learning environment. I have been assessed as outstanding in many of my sessions throughout my teaching career. I am an extremely motivated and enthusiastic individual, who is able to adapt well to change, whilst still maintaining a positive outlook and offering my utmost commitment to further enhancing my tutees.
My teaching practice consists of a combination of approaches, which allow for collaborative and experiential learning to take place, in pursuit of best complementing the learning of all potential tutees regardless of their ability or individual learning needs.
