My personal website is - **Web Address Removed** showing fantastic feedback from current parents.
I have implemented the Early Literacy Strategy and worked as the Additional Literacy & Maths Co-ordinator in primary education. I have extensive experience with Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. I especially enjoy engaging and getting good results with remedial learners in Maths and English (language and literacy development) who enjoy my professional, yet fun approach. I run booster lessons during the school holidays (always very popular!)
I have worked in an educational setting for many years. I worked at Wigton Moor Primary School from December 2000 to January 2006 as a Literacy & Maths Co-ordinator and in addition ran an art and craft class. I have also worked in secondary education. In addition, I tutor in Maths and English to primary age children in the evenings/weekends.
The Way I Tutor
Initially, I assess the child and find out their personal strengths and weaknesses. My aim is to build confidence and a thirst for learning endeavouring to make my lessons interesting and fun. I always work closely to the required curriculum for that particular year but am also flexible to fit each session around the needs of the child or parent.
As you will see from the parent comments on my website, I have a natural rapport with my students helping them to obtain their full potential.
