Hi there! I'm a 20 year old, second year medical student at Imperial College London. I completed my International Baccalaureate Diploma in Singapore; attaining 43 points with grade 7s at all my Higher Level subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Maths). In university, I take part in various volunteering societies including the paediatric play team and so I am good with interacting and teaching children. I enjoy academics and love to teach as well.
I've taught primary school students in Singapore and it was truly a fruitful experience. They ranged in their abilities and I was able to cater to their various standards, motivating them towards excellence. I've also voluntarily taught in schools and helped weaker students achieve greater results.
I like to think that every student has their own strengths and weaknesses and that it is the tutor's job to effectively make use of the strengths and provide help in the weaknesses. Tutoring is also a two-way road; where both the tutee and the tutor need a mutual understanding and work towards better academic excellence for the tutee.
I would access the areas in which each tutee needs help and work on the specific area with him/her. Ultimately, my goal is to unlock the maximal potential in every student.
