A fully qualified Maths Teacher & English tutor with over 10 years teaching experience, I have proven track record of successful teaching and take pride in my teaching style. I believe the three main attributes that makes a fantastic teacher are a passion for the subject, a great sense of humour and consistent high expectations of all students.I have a great desire in working with young people of diverse backgrounds and helping them to reach their academic potential.
Like any Teacher, I break down my tutoring session typically 1 hour into a starter activity, main teaching, tutee work and plenary to assess progress. Unlike the school setting or tuition centres, my tutees have my full 100% attention to their needs in learning.
I have provided home tutoring to many tutees in and around London & Essex areas. In my five years of teaching I have taught in The Totteridge Academy, Morpeth School and now a teacher at Central Foundation Boys School. I love teaching and enjoy tutoring outside school. I ensure my students and tutees enjoy my lessons and raise their confidence in English & Mathematics. I have received very positive feedback from my tutees and they have obtained their required grade with me.
I will first assess how much of a certain topic they know and then plan my session from this information.
Like any Teacher, I break down my tutoring session typically 1 hour into a starter activity, main teaching, tutee work and plenary to assess progress. Unlike the school setting, my tutees have my 100% attention to their needs in learning. Homework is set after tuition for further independent work and then marked with quality feedback to the tutee. I have a progress checklist that I sign off once they have successfully achieved a certain level. My Tutees are given a copy for their own records.
Students living within a 1 mile radius from home or my workplace will be given a £5 discount.
