I have moved to Woking from West London in 2017 and am offering tuition sessions based from my home. I am a qualified teacher with 14 years teaching experience.
Understandably, many people wish to have their child's tutor come to their own home, however, I do work from my own home, and believe more often than not that the pupils I work with benefit from being in a different environment. I also prefer to have access to all my hands on teaching resources, particularly for math, so that the pupils can use them to assist in their understanding.
For school children: Please contact me for timings.
For home-educated children: Please contact me for timings.
I am available for tutoring during school holidays, however, this will need to be discussed on an individual basis and I also offer online tuition.
I am a qualified teacher with 14 years experience. I have taught in schools, tutored, prepared children for the 11+ exams, and run private workshops in Science, Math, Literacy and Creative Writing. I have also previously home educated my children for 7 years and prepared my son for the rigour of entrance exams, who had successfully achieved entrance into one of Surrey's top grammar schools.
I currently tutor children of all different ages and abilities, some for exam preparation and others to ensure they are on target with what they are learning at school.
I prefer to begin with an assessment of the pupil's current ability in order to ensure we target the right areas. If the parent has a specific area they want their child to be tutored in then we go with that.
For entrance exams, I cover Verbal/ Non Verbal Reasoning, Literacy, Maths, and Exam Technique. I also teach writing workshops for children, and can apply this on a one to one basis if the parent requires.
I also prefer to keep session times to a maximum of an hour and a half as I find a long stretch for a child conducive to what it is we are trying to achieve and to get the full potential out of the session.
