I have a degree in Physics, but with a special interest in Astrophysics and Planetary Science. I have been working in Secondary Schools for nine years (as a TA, a specialist teacher and now as a Science teacher) and have been tutoring for seven years.
I have been working with teenagers for 9 years now. Initially I worked with students with Special Needs but later trained to be a Science teacher. Most of my career has been teaching students in London but I currently work at school in the Brighton and Hove area. During most of this time, I have tutored students aged between 10 and 16.
We can arrange an initial meeting to see if you think I am an appropriate tutor. I am a laid back teacher with emphasis on the ideology that 'practice makes perfect'. I use exam questions a lot to re-iterate and consolidate learning as during exams, this is often where students can 'trip up'. The more familiar a student is with the lay out and wording used in an exam, the more comfortable they will feel when they come to sit it.
