I am a keen Mathematician and thoroughly enjoy my job as a Mathematics teacher. I currently work as a Head of Department in a local successful secondary school. Last year we achieved 100% A - C at A Level and 80% A* - B (2022 exam results). I have been an examiner across GCSE, A Level and A Level Further maths for the previous 10 years. I am currently a team leader for the Edexcel exam board - GCSE Higher tier.
I originally trained and qualified as a teacher in Queensland Australia. I then returned to England and converted the teaching qualification to the English equivalent.
I have a total of 15 years experience within the teaching profession. My roles have included responsibility for KS5, Assistand headteacher and my current role as Head of maths. I can teach A Level Mathematics (all modules including further maths), IB, GCSE Maths, GCSE Statistics and 11 plus entrance exams.
Tutoring is tailored to the needs of the student. I have worked with students of all abilities ranging from students with learning difficulties to students taking Further Mathematics at A Level. I am approachable and students enjoy the progress they make during the tutoring sessions.
