Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Rupert and I have recently graduated as a vet. I now find myself living and working in Cambridge having grown up in Bermuda, attended boarding school in the UK and studied for six years at University in London. I have a very keen interest in science, especially Biology and research. I also have a First Class Honours degree from King's College London in Infectious Diseases and Immunology so I am very passionate about this too! Besides my interest in science, I love the outdoors, especially long-distance running, swimming, sailing and fishing.

Tutoring Experience:

I used to work as a camp counsellor at an educational summer camp for children aged between 7-13 which is where I first gained numerous teaching skills. Latterly, I have tutored many subjects as GCSE level and I have also coached other students during their studies at University. I am particularly comfortable tutoring science subjects up to GCSE level as well as Biology and Geography to a higher level.
Having attended Oundle School (Independent UK Boarding School) I am also able to assist with preparations for entrance exams.
I also have experience helping students with entry into university, especially within the medical/Veterinary fields. I am able to help and give advice on applications and personal statements.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a flexible but structured approach to tutoring and I am very keen to help anyone no matter what their situation is. I find it best for tutees to have specific topics or aims of things to cover in the session. I am enthusiastic and passionate and like to make the subjects interesting as I believe this allows students to have the best opportunity to learn.
