Rowena is very personable, experienced and supportive and our daughter really enjoys her maths sessions with Rowena.
Our daughter says that Rowena explains her maths in a really clear and understanding way and that she is a really lovely person. Rowena has been really flexible and provided on line sessions when we have not been able to do face to face sessions.

Hi,
My child had lived in China for nine years and ever since he came to England he has had difficulties keeping up with lessons and English. We tried to get extra tutoring for him at school and home, but that wasn't enough. My child is currently 13 years old and has been accepted into Dulwich college because of Rowena. My child is pleased with the tutoring, and he says it was very helpful. When he struggled with something in class or wanted to learn about something Rowena always helped him and taught him. Rowena is a very friendly person. I would highly recommend her.

Our daughter felt very comfortable with Rowena who was so helpful and encouraging during their sessions and always came away feeling so positive and highly motivated. Charlotte felt that she had absorbed so much more in the short time she was with Rowena and so much more confident in taking her English Language and Literature GCSEs.

My son was very happy and complimentary for his first session with Rowena. She was very calm and seemed to immediately get on with him and to get an enthusiastic response straight away.

My daughter has been tutored by Rowena since she was in year 4. She was in the bottom set in Maths, she lacked confidence and was not progressing. My daughter is now in year 6, and is in the top set and has successfully passed her entrance exams for year 7. Rowena was able to build her confidence and develop her skills in maths. Her success is due to her hard work and Rowena's ability to help her fulfil her potential. I would thoroughly recommend Rowena.

Rowena tutors our boys aged 10 and 11 in English and Maths three times a week, with a view to getting them through Common Entrance (they are currently being home schooled for a year or two). They both very much enjoy her lessons and are making very good progress with her. I highly recommend Rowena as a tutor.

Rowena was excellent in dealing with our rather urgent situation and her help tutoring for the 11 plus was invaluable. She was thorough and informed, gave good feedback to me after a session with my daughter and was a calming influence for her.

My daughter has gained more confidence in her abilities as a result of 5 1 hr sessions with Rowena. She always left Rowena in the highest of spirits. This has reduced her fear of arithmetic and now is more willing to work at the subject and even enjoy it maths, which will equip her in the new school year. I would recommend Rowena highly.

Rowena has been tutoring my 15 year old son for the last few months. She has been doing an excellent job in developing his English skills so that he can no only improve in English but also in other subjects like Drama. She undertakes a full assessment with the student at the start to identify where they may need most support and she also likes to look at work that they have been doing at school, as well as setting them specific homework to complete for her. My son is more of a Maths student than an English student but he enjoys his lessons with Rowena and that says it all. Thank you Rowena.

Rowena has been tutoring my daughter on KS1&2 maths for about 3 months now.

I have seen a marked improvement in my daughters understanding and ability, and importantly also in her confidence.

Prior to starting the tuition my daughter was starting to get worried about school and was clearly trying to avoid a subject which she was beginning to believe she couldn't do. At KS1 no child should be thinking this way, it's not even true maths. The teachers at her school were no help whatsoever.

She is now much happier and able to take part properly in her lessons at school and feel confident that she is not 'stupid' or 'unable to do maths'.

I have Rowena to thank for this change. She has fostered a great relationship with my daughter, who looks forward to the lessons. Thanks Rowena.

My seventeen year old son is really enjoying working with Rowena. She is helping him to improve his essay writing techniques for his upcoming English A Level exam. She has a calm, friendly manner and I would not hesitate to recommend her as a tutor.

This is working well and my son is highly motivated after each session. He can see the ease with which he picks up knowledge that he had missed in the lesson and how this will help him.

Rowena is prompt, reliable and knowledge on the subject.My son although quite reluctant to have a tutor has found her to be understanding and encouraging and Im sure she will be a great help to my son in his GCSE studies in the future.
