English, Latin and Ancient Greek tutor. Personal statement advice.
I'm a writer, copyeditor and recent graduate of the University of Cambridge, where I have just completed my MPhil in Classics. I am extremely passionate about the ancient world, and take a special interest in Greek Tragedy and Roman Comedy. I am eager to spread my enthusiasm and to encourage others to engage with this fascinating subject! I love to sing and was a senior choral scholar in the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge (2021-22).

Tutoring Experience

In 2017 I spent some time teaching Latin to year 6, 7 and 8 classes, and also taught some year 8s their first ever ancient Greek. I have also helped students in their final year of school with their personal statements, editing, proofreading, and offering general advice.

Tutoring Approach

I'm a thoughtful, methodical and enthusiastic person, eager to bring out the best in any student. I have spent a year writing as an agony aunt, so can promise to be empathetic and understanding! The welfare of my tutees would be of paramount importance; I am well aware of the value of encouraging, positive and respectful feedback. I am willing to help with any difficulties, big or small and my central aim would be to help students enjoy their lessons and approach their subjects with confidence.
