Hello! My name is Rosie. I am in my final year of medical school at UEA, after having taken a year out to complete a masters degree at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
I have enjoyed tutoring both in Norwich and London over the past two years alongside my studies, and have been pleased to hear from students who have achieved and surpassed their target grades, and also to receive really positive feedback.
I have had most experience tutoring GCSE and A-level biology (a range of exam boards), but am happy to tutor earlier stages.
As part of my university course there has been a substantial emphasis on peer-to-peer learning. When faced with seemingly endless amounts of information, I have had lots of practice in coming up with and sharing ways in which to remember it, and also in breaking down complicated topics. This has no doubt helped my tutoring.
I feel I'm friendly and approachable and have the approach that no question is a silly question - having been a tutee myself I think this is really important.
I believe it is really important to be aware of how each individual learns best, especially when faced with limited time or lots of information. Therefore I am keen to help students explore this if they wish in order to set up foundations for further study in any area.
