I am a Law graduate from the University of Manchester currently working as a teaching assistant. I have a real interest in helping students of all ages to reach their fullest potential, from primary school all the way up to university level.

Tutoring Experience

I currently work in various different primary and secondary schools as a teaching assistant, providing learning support to children in need of a confidence boost and supporting them with their work. This often involves teaching and helping students with areas they find the most challenging. I have also previously worked as a tutor, having tutored secondary school-age children over Zoom. I have a plethora of experience in supporting students through tasks they find difficult, and helping children push themselves to achieve their fullest potential.

Tutoring Approach

I take an empathetic, inclusive and student-led approach when it comes to teaching and tutoring. I will always discuss with the student what approach to learning they feel with work best for them, as every student is unique. This personalised learning allows students to take an active role in their sessions, and I encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence. While I will encourage students to challenge themselves and ensure improvement with every lesson, I also make sure students never feel out of their depth or under excess pressure. A bit of work or a thinking task will be given to complete in between lessons, a manageable amount which will allow the student to see a consistent improvement, and we will go through the work together the following session. Dependent on each students' needs, I will teach in a variety of ways, such as books, presentations, images, worksheets, reading exercises and so on. Through consistency, patience and encouragement the student will achieve their highest potential in the end.
