I am an highly experienced EFL Teacher and Language School Coordinator that organises language stays for young French students.
I have lived and taught abroad in France, Spain and Italy and have travelled quite extensively.
I am fluent in French, speak conversational Spanish and love discovering new languages and cultures.
I have a passion for the arts, sports such as tennis, swimming and cycling, walking, and swimming.
I am always fascinated by my student's passions and I make sure they feel encouraged and comfortable to talk about their interests and goals in life, as connecting language learning to real life situations enables the students to embrace the language and easily improve.
I have over 10 years experience teaching in the EFL sector.
I have a BA Honours in French and I am CELTA qualified, with a certificate in Physical Theatre.
I have taught to primary school children and teenagers in France, as well as running my own after school club. I have also taught international groups of all ages and levels in various renowned Brighton based language schools - ISE, Language Studies International, Spraachcaffe - as well as one to one tuition in general and business English in Paris - based international companies. In Paris I also did a lot of after school private tutoring for children/teenagers aged 11 to 18.
My work has also taken me to Italy and Spain where I taught English to Italian High School students and Theatre in Education to Spanish primary school students.
I provide exam preparation for IELTS, CAE, CPE with a proven track record of success for university entrance and job recruitment.
Whatever your aim I can help you to get there.
I have a flexible approach so that classes are specifically tailored according to the student's needs.
My aim is to build up the student's confidence and comptetence by encouraging communication through structured conversation based on their needs and interests. Once needs are established, a productive and balanced programme of active listening and speaking activities supported by grammatical and vocabulary based exercises can be put into place.
Children learn best through play so I always encourage students to feel comfortable and enjoy the language.
I often use communication techniques such as role play & games to relax the learning process.
