This is how 3 referees rated Rory:
I am currently a 5th year studying medicine at the University of Oxford and very much enjoy both the challenge and reward of helping students get to grips with KS3, GCSE, and A-level science. I love seeing students achieve the satisfaction of reaching their potential in these subjects.
I have a good deal of experience tutoring students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Maths at both GCSE and A-level, as well as providing valuable advice to potential Medics in completing their applications and preparing them for a medical school interview: such a vital part of the process to get right.
Having been through this difficult process myself, and having spoken to my Oxbridge tutors about what they are looking for in a successful interview candidate, I feel I am well positioned to help students achieve their maximum potential.
I like to maintain an informal atmosphere in the tutorial, finding that a good rapport between tutor and student proves most effective. Using interesting and relevant examples to stimulate discussion, I hope to make the material interesting for the student. I aim to help students develop academic maturity and critical thinking skills.
