Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 30 years in Mainstream and Special Education.I teach many subjects to students of all ages and am very used to working 1:1 and ensuring individual students reach their full potential.

Tutoring Approach

I try to tutor using a freindly but business like approach. Plenty of encouagement and praise can be needed as well as the need to give targets and direction. During our first session I will assess the students' needs and discuss what they and the parent(s) would like to be the focus of future work. We will then begin to work,step by step through topics,gaining confidence and expertise as we go. Being a serving teacher I will be able to bring and use many resources ( ICT and paper ) that will greatly support learning and enjoyment.
