This is how 2 referees rated Robert:
Cambridge Maths graduate with 7 years' experience of teaching Maths. I have two daughters in primary education. I work as a computer programmer.
I enjoy explaining mathematical concepts in the clearest possible way and am always seeking to inspire the student's interest in the subject. I taught a full range of abilities in a primary/early secondary level school for 7 years. I have also tutored GCSE, A level and Degree level students.
Working mainly with pen and paper, I encourage the student to work through examples, of which I have a large stock. When a difficulty is encountered, I carefully assess the depth of help that is needed. Sometimes only a hint is needed for the student to get back on track. On other occasions, a deeper examination of the theory and teaching is called for. We will progress through the material in such a way as to maintain a good level of challenge, but also consolidate confidence in what has already been learnt.
