This is how 2 referees rated Harry:
I am currently the A level Maths coordinator and Maths teacher at a large, coeducational, Secondary school and Sixth form. After some years of focusing on my classroom teaching I have decided to start tutoring. This is due to the impact it can have on students but also to help support my decision to retrain as a medical doctor.
I am currently the A level Maths coordinator and Maths teacher at a large, coeducational, Secondary school and Sixth form. I teach both Higher and Foundation Maths GCSE and Maths and Further Maths A level with great success.
I realise that tutoring can have a great impact on a students confidence, understanding and therefore achievement. Tutoring offers a great opportunity for one to one learning which means that the strengths of the student can be highlighted to build confidence. This new confidence can then be used to approach the more challenging topics. Maths is a beautiful subject where students can gain ownership by discovering many of the rules themselves. However, I realise the importance of exam practice and learning from past paper questions.
