Personal Description:

I am an Oxford graduate and experienced and friendly tutor with a passion for learning and teaching.

I have spent the last two years teaching anthropology, essay writing and critical thinking to undergraduate students in the USA. I`m working as a tutor whilst I complete my PhD in Socio-cultural anthropology at the University of California, Davis.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford and a masters degree from SOAS.

I specialise in teaching social sciences, history and biology but can teach most subjects up to a GCSE level. I am also available to help students with general study skills, prepare for entrance exams, or write University applications.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught undergraduate students for the past two years at the University of California, Davis.

Before that I tutored biology and history for four years both independently and through agencies. This mainly involved helping to prepare students for exams, including GCSEs, A levels and undergraduate degrees.

I have also worked on University summer schools as a tutor and mentor.

Tutoring Approach:

Preparation of lesson plans / Presentation of material in an engaging and relevant fashion /Getting to know the tutee, the way they learn and what they're interested in / Getting the tutee to think and work things out for themselves as much as possible, not lecturing to them.
