My name's Bobby, and I'm a fourth-year Medicine student currently studying for a year at King's College London. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, playing sports such as cricket and badminton, and I'm currently learning to code.

I find teaching others very satisfying, both as part of my studies (to younger medical students) and in my free time - I would be honoured to work with you to help achieve your desired grades.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for 4 years in GCSE and A-Level Biology, Maths and Chemistry, meaning I have a good understanding of the current curricula. For 2 years, I have had fun teaching younger Medicine students about topics including anatomy, physiology and pathology.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is largely based around 'active recall', meaning that I ask many questions, and only give small prompts to gradually lead students to the answer, allowing them to work out the answer themselves. In this way, my approach is tailored to each student and their current needs. I have found that this significantly improves information retention - as students are forced to truly understand each topic and make links in their knowledge - and builds their confidence answering questions. Asking many questions also allows me to frequently gauge their level of knowledge, in order to tailor my explanations to each student's level of understanding, and plan future sessions.

Past paper questions are also a big part of my approach, as they are essential for practising applying theoretical knowledge to different scenarios (this is especially important at A-Level); most sessions involve past paper questions in order to consolidate knowledge on topics recently learnt at school.
