I am currently working as an Associate Director of Group Finance at an asset management firm in the city. Outside of work I am regularly teaching in the evenings and weekends. I specialise in teaching mathematics, accounting and business (plus excel skills), from school to professional level.
Prior to my current workplace I was an auditor and chartered accountant at a firm in the city. At university I studied law at the London School of Economics (LSE). I am twenty eight years old and I have fresh and thorough knowlegde of my past examinations. I see this as a great benefit in comparison to older tutors as they have done their exams some time ago.
I have been tutoring for almost seven years now. I specialise in teaching accountancy, finance and business related subjects to industry level and mathematics up to A-Level standard. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and I find this motivation rubs on the student I teach.
I tend to go for a structured technique based around the syllabus. I will adapt to the aims of the tutee, whether the focus is to pass an exam or understand a particular topic. I feel a balance between structured teaching and some flair is vital for learning.
