For several years I have successfully tutored students in key stage 1, 2 and 3 and for GCSE and A levels in English and Business. At the moment I am available on line by Zoom or Skype I am a Member of the Qualified Tutor Community.

Tutoring Experience

My experience is largely on 'one to one' tuition, though I have also worked with classes in a private learning centre. I have been particularly successful helping students to improve their GCSE grade. Most of my GCSE students improved on their mock results . I have had very good results too with under-achieving SATs students and some with special needs.

Tutoring Approach

I am enthusiastic and committed to my students. I want only for the student to be successful and whilst learning is not always about exam results they are important of course. I concentrate on working with the student's perceived weaknesses and on common exam mistakes. Additionally, I always revise the main elements of the syllabus and give the student plenty of practice with examples of written work. I tutor at the student's home address or on-line. I have excellent references from all of my many clients and First Tutors client's feedback is given below. I also hold a DBS certificate which is available for inspection.
