Information About Rich - Barrow-upon-humber tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Rich:
I teach guitar and bass to all ages, from beginner to professional level. I have been in various bands, had my own music broadcast on national radio, have run a recording studio and have been involved with music at all levels for the past thirty years. I have been writer/bandleader for a number of bands and am actively involved in the local music scene in N. Lincs. I am familiar with most music both current and past and am open to teaching all aspects of it.
I have taught guitar & bass professionally since 1991 and worked privately, in colleges and at Hull's largest private music school. I have experience of teaching individuals and bands at all levels. Some of my students have gone on to feature in signed bands and some have become well-known names. I use all methods of teaching which includes using tab, playing by ear, reading music, etc.
Since no two students are exactly alike in what they want to learn, I provide the common basis of playing their instrument and adapt the tuition so that it meets their requirements. Above all, learning an instrument should be fun to do, not a study chore. I teach a wide variety of styles and encourage my students to listen and learn more music than they originally thought they wanted to. It usually comes as a surprise just how much difference doing this makes, even to just their core study.
