As a Geography teacher, I am able to apply myself to many different subjects, age ranges and abilities. I am a hard-working individual who likes to see a student progress with confidence. During the evenings, I love nothing more than to bake, spending time with our pets and chickens or plan our next adventure! I am a GCSE examiner for Edexcel Religious Studies and Geography in additional to having previously been a A Level examiner (Edexcel), I am currently an NEA coursework advisory for Edexcel.
At University, I studied Geography and Information Systems.
I teach Geography and RS at a local secondary school. Previously to this, I have taught both Year 5 and Year 6 KS2 subjects, students with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Maths and Science and also Geography up to A Level. In addition to this I have tutored students through KS2 (specialising in Maths and building confidence) through to A Level.
With a variety of ages and abilities, I have a number of different skills and techniques to help your child get to the next stage.
I like to use different teaching methods with all students and realise that each student is an individual and learns in different ways - this may include using games, puzzles and Internet/apps. Building confidence is a key aspect of my teaching methods.
My passion is seeing your child's confidence develop; this is often the key to breaking down barriers and getting them to believe that they can do it!
I am happy to tutor in your home individually, in a very small group (please enquire for details) and online via Skype and Google Drive.
