I am a native Italian speaker, born and bred in Rome and I've moved to the UK at the age of 20 to build my academic and professional careers. I have graduated at London's South Bank University in creative writing for media, and I'm now a Director in the digital marketing & PR field.
In my spare time, I love travelling – I have so far been to 42 countries and counting! I also am a baker and one of my guilty pleasures is The Great British Bake Off. I also like pop music and often enjoy live gigs at London's music venues.
I have covered several teaching/tutoring roles throughout my professional and personal career. I have previously tutored provately, working with pupils studying Italian, helping them revise and preparing them for exams. In my professional organisation, I am also involved in a number of initiatives to foster new talent in my teams. I have an active interest in the discipline of coaching and self-development.
I have an energetic, hands-on approach based on practice. After all, practice does make perfect!
If you are just starting out, we would begin by lay down some ground rules with respect to the language like grammar, pronunciations, etc. - and including those important Italian words and phrases a beginner should learn. Likewise, if you are looking to travel to Italy, I would teach you many of the most common words, phrases, which you'd be required to know to communicate with the local people.
At an intermediate level, we would build on the basics through sentence construction and pronunciation - transitioning to more complicated words, phrases and sentences.
At an advanced level, we would enjoy a conversation-based class, to discover the language in depth, through the use of everyday sayings and ways of the spoken language.
Any Italian experience is far more beautiful and enjoyable if you know the language or at least the essentials!
