Reena

Hounslow Tutor

I am passionate about working with individuals, to encourage, support and guide them in the best way possible so that they can achieve their dreams. Undertaking a positive approach towards education is the key and making a positive change in individuals lives is what is important too me.

I have also taught and tutored learners who have learning disabilities and difficulties and I have helped my learners by creating a variety of differentiated activities.

Tutoring Experience

I tutor learners from the ages of four years old to adults, helping students with 11 plus examinations, GCSEs, A Level and Degree level work. Group sessions and one to one sessions, are undertaken at my home and I also provide my services at the learners' home.

I recommend that learners may want to undertake their GCSE and A Level examinations earlier. Students can find it challenging to undertake all their examinations at one time. Taking examinations earlier can encourage the student to have a positive goal to work towards, which can allow one to feel more confident about their approach towards education.

Alongside the Teaching and tutoring work I have involved myself in, I am also a qualified Counsellor and apply the ‘Person Centered’ and ‘Humanistic' approach. I have been providing Counselling for the last three years, helping individuals with subject and career choices. Many students appreciate having someone to listen to them, as they are going through a challenging time so this service enables the students to look at their choices in a positive light. Many parents have needed Counselling in regards to their children or negative situations at home and/or in their workplace and the counselling sessions have helped them, including the elderly.

Tutoring Approach

Every learner deserves a chance, if some learners are unable to conform to the schooling system this does not mean that they are not bright, as a Teacher / Tutor you can make learning fun, interactive and creative to challenge the minds of the different types of learners. Individuals must also be consistent in their learning and keen to want to learn so that they can succeed to the best of their potential.
