I am a PhD qualified Physicist with excellent general Physics knowledge, and a specialism in Astrophysics. I qualified as an 'outstanding' Physics teacher in Key Stage 4 and 5 and have over 5 years teaching experience. Before that I worked in climate change science and data analysis and, before that, in University researching for my PhD. I have a relaxed and friendly approach, and a passion for helping all students attain their full potential.
I worked in an exceptional private school in Surrey for 5 years as well as gaining experience in an 'OFSTED outstanding' comprehensive school. I have also worked closely with Examining Bodies, and understand each of their particular requirements, having been appointed Head of Exams for 3 years.
I have a relaxed and friendly approach and a passion for helping all students attain their full potential. I start all my tutoring with an informal discussion to establish what you hope to achieve, as well as gauge your current understanding of the subject. We would then agree a plan that will allow us to best achieve your goal. The sessions are very much student led, and I endeavour to make our time as enjoyable as it is useful.
