I am a 27 year old professional currently working in central London in Sustainability, focusing on Human Rights and Women's Empowerment. I have recently finished a secondment to the United Nations, based in Amsterdam, and am now based back in London.
I am originally from the Lake District, where I went to school, achieving 11 A*s and 1 A at GCSE, and 2 A*s, 2As and a B at A Level, in Geography, General Studies, French, Biology and History.
I then read Geography at Jesus College Oxford, where I graduated with a 2:1 in 2013. I went on to study MSc Sustainability (Business, Environment and Corporate Responsibility) at the University of Leeds, where I obtained a distinction.
I am currently studying for an LLM in Human Rights Law at Birkbeck College, University of London alongside working.
In my spare time I play netball, am trying to learn Spanish, and enjoy cooking, reading and travelling.
I tutored family friends children whilst at secondary school and during the summer holidays from university. I mentor and manage several people at work, and have tutored 3 different families of children through First Tutors, one of whom I continue to tutor.
I am a friendly and down to earth person, who wants to see everyone achieve their potential - hence my interest and passion for human rights. I think people learn best when tutoring is tailored to their own strengths; for instance, some pupils are more vi#k#sual, whereas others prefer to write everything down.
I am flexible about the areas I will travel to for tutoring and can do Skype tutoring.
