Information About Rebecca - Newbury tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Rebecca:
“Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”
This quote, from Rita Pierson, epitomises my rationale for primary education and is the force behind my decision to become a teacher. Children need a supporter, someone who is behind them every step of the way, motivating, inspiring and just being there no matter what.
I have spent the last two years working within the education sector, firstly as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school and as a Special Support Assistant in a school for children with profound to multiple learning difficulties. I am now undertaking my PGCE, in which I will complete in July. My subject knowledge across the curriculum is very good and I am strongly aware of the content demands of the current curriculum.
My approach to tutoring is to consider every student as an individual and to make learning fun. I pride myself in producing creative lesson plans which really cater to individual needs and interests. Having worked with many children with dyslexia, I am experienced when it comes implementing strategies which help children to overcome barriers to learning.
