I was born and bought up in London, and attended James Allen's Girls' School in Dulwich. I then went on to complete a BSc with Joint Honors at Imperial College London in Biology with a year of Management. Following this, I did an MSc at University College London in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine. I am currently doing a PhD in Bioengineering at King's College London.
I currently supervise and teach 3 medical students who are completing an intercalated BSc in my department. I have also formally tutored a GCSE student in Physics as well as informally tutored a number of KS3, GCSE and A-level students in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Generally, I will use textbooks to at first go through a topic, which I will then explain in greater detail using examples and different methods for easier remembrance of the content covered. Such methods may include diagrams, tables and spider diagrams. As progress is made throughout the topic I will always ensure that I go back to initial content and briefly test that it has been understood and remembered. I also use written questions to allow the student to put the content learnt into an exam style format so that confidence is gained in knowing that the topic has been understood and so that knowledge can be applied to any given exam question.
