I am an MPhil Economics student at the University of Cambridge, I have a history of academic excellence and was in the top percentile throughout my undergraduate at the University of Surrey.
I have also previously studied at the University of Hong Kong on a semester abroad.
As well as doing extensive core maths and statistics whilst at university I also took maths at A2 achieving an A grade, making me more than qualified to teach both Economics and Maths for students studying, up to and including, their A-levels.
I have worked at Explore Learning, tutoring kids aged 5-16 for over a year and in my time there earned a promotion due to my abilities. I have also done 1 to 1 tutoring on several occasions helping out a friend's younger sibling with their GCSE Maths. I have also been an active member of this website which has helped me learn through experience the best methods for teaching.
For any maths topic I tend to focus on working through example problems together and then giving some homework which we would then go through together next lesson. I find going through questions and marking together helps the student realise what part of the topic they struggle with and how to best approach it. With Economics on the other hand I focus on the theory side of the subject as opposed to exam practice as I find it is much more helpful to gain a profound understanding of the topics and apply it to questions.
