My name is Rachel and I studied French and German at university. I spent time living in Angers in France and Quakenbrueck in Germany where I worked as an English assistant in a school. I'm a qualified teacher and have taught classes and individuals over a number of years.
I love teaching and enjoy being part of the progress that my students make.
I am good at finding the right starting point for each of my students and I am always careful to build people's confidence.
I have taught both French and German to A-level. I have experience of teaching adults as well as secondary school children. I am used to matching my teaching to very different levels of ability and whether I am teaching groups or individuals my main focus is that the student is happy and making progress.
I am friendly and approachable and it is important to me that my students feel relaxed and comfortable. Finding the right level is crucial when teaching as it enables students to gain confidence more easily. I use a variety of teaching methods, for example: games, picture prompts or grammar exercises . The key to my tutoring is to be flexible, to provide variety and make learning fun,
