This is how 2 referees rated Rachel:
I am an experienced tutor, teacher and Secondary school head of faculty with a proven track record of helping my students to reach their potential and to enjoy their learning experience.
I have helped students of all ages to gain exam success. to succeed at University entrance level and to develop their careers in Acting, Performing Arts and journalism.
I also run creative writing classes and reading group and am a founder member of a physical theatre TIE collective which is largely made up of ex- conservatoire members… I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, but have gone on to obtain degrees and teaching qualifications due to the time and effort that my teachers gave to me, it was gratitude to them that lead me to want to work with others to help them achieve their potential.
I have worked in schools and colleges for 20 years, teaching English to A level, leading Drama and Performing Arts departments and have enjoyed watching the continuing success of my students.
I have tutored individuals successfully for examinations and have helped various students and tutees to obtain places at conservatoires and have continued to work with them as they enter wider acting world.
I believe that everyone can learn and can be helped to feel positive about their learning when the fear of failure is reduced.
For this reason I approach the work by diagnostically discovering what is needed, then using a personal and clear approach to learning.
I feel that it is important to register success and to use that success to help build the confidence that leads to attainment.
