Information About Rachael - Nantwich tutor
I have always excelled at Mathematics, through not only a-levels, but GCSE and sat results, it has always been not just a subject at school but a hobby for me, an something i truly enjoy doing. Reflected by me continuing it further at The University of Birmingham, where I am currently studying for a Mathematics Degree. Having just successfully completed my first year and looking forward to the challenge of the second. I am an enthusiastic, friendly, driven individual, who will thrive on the chance to help others enjoy maths the way I do.
I have recently completed a Mathematics and further Mathematics A-level, which gave me a wide range of pure, mechanics and statistical understanding. During this time, I helped 11-14 year olds build their mathematical knowledge via the use of 'MyMaths,' which i found very rewarding seeing younger people improve through the knowledge i was able to share with them. Also, I have helped my younger sister in preparation for her Core 1, Statistics 1 and Decision 1 exams, in which she achieved A grades.
I have a caring and sensitive approach to teaching, and understand the needs of learners, particularly those that do not find Maths easy. My approach to tutoring is through a combination of Examples, exposition and improving exam technique to ensure students can confidently tackle questions independently.
