Hello! I'm Quintin, a fresh graduate from Cambridge where I studied Arabic and Hindi. I love languages (having lived internationally), and have experience with French, Japanese, and Russian.
I enjoy writing of all kinds, whether essays, poems, stories or articles, and have my work in various university publications. Often, too, I edit the work of my contemporaries such as essays, personal statements, and creative pieces.
I have teaching experience from tutoring highschoolers in the USA; teaching English and French to Russian children in Russia; and as a language assistant at the Faculty for Asian and Middle Eastern Studies in Cambridge.
I use the 'communicative approach' to teaching languages, allowing the pupil to interact with native materials and imbue them with confidence.
For other subjects, I allow the student to work out how to improve a given piece of work on their own (with guidance), and then help them by us going through it together, alongside teaching how to generate mnemonics for memory-intensive subjects.
