A lecturer from a leading London University. I work as lecturer in Computing and Information services, and am a module leader for several IT subjects; databases, software quality, systems analysis, informatics.
More than five years experience working as a teacher, tutor, MSc/BSc project supervisor, workshop coordinator and Scenario/Problem Based Learning (PBL/SBL) tutor. I have both industrial and academic experience working with a number of ICT (Information Communication Technology) related fields.
Students who are taught by me will get introduced to the latest knowledge associated with main computer related technologies, not only meeting the scope specified by the national curriculum/learning objectives but also exposing them to concepts that could benefit them in preparing for a wide range of foundation level, University level and professional qualifications. I adopt a mix of subject, student and curriculum oriented approaches based on the students’ style of learning and amount of support they need. I teach students taking ICT as a subject in KS2, KS3, GCSE, A Level, Degree or Postgraduate level subjects.

Thanks for your feedback, However as indicated, the first session was used to identify the topics your daughter is familiar with and what areas she needs extra help with. It was also used to review her performance at the school's mock test outcomes, and see the areas she is struggling with. The next step would be for me to come up with a lesson plan, considering the very limited amount of time available. I informed this to your daughter and indicated that we need to go through more exam questions on the specific areas. And you daughter is clearly capable, but was not having a good grasp of some of the key and fundamental areas covered at the exam, which can be rectified. So the only teaching done on the day was limited to a very narrow areas on computer architecture, and I assisted her to review her existing knowledge on the working of a computer processor and the role of the main memory (I have done some diagrams and notes on her note book). There is a degree of trust you need to have on a tutor as well, as your daughter may not be in the best position to make a judgement about her true potential. And since a tutor would have only very limited time to prepare your daughter for the exam, there isn't enough time to try out different options as well. I have handled similar students previously, and demonstrated significantly positive outcomes. I truly believe that your daughter has the potential to achieve a really good grade with some exam oriented sessions, and it is unfortunate that we could not continue with sessions other than the very first one hour introductory/review session. I wish your daughter all the very best.
He always turns up on time, explains things very well and arrives with prepared session content based on my specific training needs.
Overall I am very impressed.
