I am a qualified English as a foreign language teacher since 2011, when I did a CELTA course in Madrid my home at the time. Although native English I grew up many years in the south of Spain and after my degree decided to return to Spain and become a language teacher. I have been back in London teaching English and Spanish for almost five years and in between lessons, I love walking my dog, yoga and enjoying all of the culture London has to offer.
I began my teaching career in Madrid teaching EFL in companies and privately, until life circumstances brought me to my home town in the south of Spain where I continued to teach in prestigious companies such as Lloyds bank, Vogt Law firm and with a private architect. Here I taught English to the Spanish executives and Spanish to non-native employees.
As well as large corporate clients such as Inditex (Zara), AXA, IG Index, DPI Fund, I teach many individuals privately, often children who need extra help with languages to boost their school work or prepare for exams.
My approach to tutoring is to make each lesson fun and varied, using as much conversational practice as possible. To maximise student participation I use a range of materials (not just text books) combined with games and memory tricks to help the mind engage and learn.
