I'm a Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Edinburgh. Biology was my favourite subject at school, and I was lucky to have really excellent and inspiring teachers. I understand that some subject areas within Biology are hard to grasp, having struggled with some concepts myself at times. Taking on a Biology exam requires a little bit of strategy and knowing what the examiners are looking for in answers. Having taken these exams myself and tutored in the past, I think I am capable of helping others who want to improve their grades in Biology.
I've tutored Biology up to A-level standard in the past.
I'm friendly and approachable, with a "no question is too stupid to ask" attitude. I think it's good to start the first lesson off by trying to identify any areas students are finding particularly difficult. These topics are then prioritised in our lessons. I will go over past paper questions, as these are really helpful for understanding key words for answers and any structure required for the exam.
