I have been teaching English for over 20 years and have taught at one of the top grammar schools for over a decade. I hold a Master’s degree in English Literature, where I specialised in Shakespearean studies and modern literature. I am an exam marker for AQA and Edexcel and occasionally write articles for literary journals online.

Tutoring Approach
I tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of each student. Lessons are dynamic and interactive and the focus is on fostering an enjoyment of the subject combined with meeting the examination criteria.
After discussing the individual needs of my students, I outline a plan to deliver the course to maximise the outcomes for each pupil-whether this involves working towards passing GCSEs or simply developing confidence as a proficient speaker, writer and reader.
