I am a geography teacher and have worked previously as a teaching assistant before qualifying as a teacher. I hold an honours degree in geography and social science and am very passionate about my subject. I am a keen fitness enthusiast and have completed a number of half marathons. I have also recently completed my A level in Psychology
I have 4 years teaching experience (3 as an unqualified teacher) and I teach geography to years 7 to 11. I also teach science to years 7 -9. I have previously worked as a cover teacher and have a number of years experience as a teaching assistant which I have found invaluable when it comes to differentiation and helping students to learn in a way that suits them. I have worked with students with many needs, and have specialised with students on the ASD spectrum.
I have also tutored small groups of students in school in preparation for GCSE exams and helped them plan revision.
I have a wealth of experience in teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds and needs, and have the approach that every student learns differently and it is important to acknowledge that each student is unique
