I am a specialist teacher of A level and GCSE physics and, as such, I have up to date knowledge of the latest developments, exam requirements, and curriculum details. I have a relaxed and friendly, though always professional, approach to private tuition, which is not at all like a classroom environment.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in several outstanding secondary schools and also very high achieving schools within the private sector. My students have a record of excellent results, with some having been admited to Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial and other Russell group universities. Many have now graduated in science related subjects, and some have even become teachers themselves! I am familiar with the requirements of the GCSE and A level syllabus' across exam boards, and the main sticking points that students can struggle with, in their exams.

Tutoring Approach

I have found that students need to be interested in, and committed to the study of physics, in order to achieve high grades. My approach is one of asking students to identify their areas of weakness for themselves, and then focussing time on addressing and overcoming these weaknesses. I believe that this maximises the benefits of additional tution, whilst minimising costs. I do not believe that it is possible to improve outcomes for students who have no interest in the subject but, extra one to one tuition, can overcome the shortcomings, of crowded classrooms, without the expense of private schooling.
