Information About Paul - Harrow tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Paul:
I am a highly experienced teacher of Mathematics and I have taught at an academically selective independent school in North West London for over 25 years. My duties at the school have encompassed teaching dyslexic students as well as developing strategies for effective learning. I am also a team leader and examiner for both the Edexcel and Cambridge Examination Boards.
I have taught and tutored many students in Mathematics over the years and I am particularly interested in developing strategies which makes the maths easier to comprehend. I am familiar with all the major examination boards and I have regularly taught the GCSE and A Level courses in both Mathematics and Statistics as well as teaching the younger secondary school pupils. I also specialise in tutoring for the 11+ and 13+ entrance examinations to schools such as Haberdashers, Merchant Taylors and The John Lyon School.
I believe in adapting my tutoring to fit the individual student and I have studied coaching and motivational techniques in some detail.
Being an experienced examiner, I can also offer exceptional help with examination techniques and am able to give advice on the best way to tackle questions to minimise the loss of marks due to simple errors.
I am flexible in my approach. Some students may only need the occasional tutoring session rather than tutoring on a weekly basis. I am also willing to offer some email support in between sessions. I am prepared to discuss tutoring rates if you live close to Harrow and I am available from August.
