Information About Paul - Redbridge tutor - (1 review)
I have a love for science and teaching it. My interests as a researcher include the science of animal welfare and the study of anatomy in humans and other animals. I am experienced in all areas of current biology and keep my skills up to date.
In my spare time I practise and teach karate. I have been training in martial arts for more than ten years and find it a challenging yet enjoyable way to relax and spend time with friends.
I have been teaching for nine years, at first during my university studies and now as a researcher. I have experience in teaching all ages from six years upwards and can teach biology up to degree level as well as chemistry and psychology up to A level.
I also have experience and training for work with dyslexic students and those with autistic spectrum conditions.
I believe that it is important to cater lessons to the strengths of the student. This means that it is important to teach students how to learn, how to study and how to achieve the grades they desire. I advocate the use of effective revision techniques and teach study skills if the student and parent agrees it will be helpful. It is very important for a private tutor to make the subject matter interesting and memorable so that the student can retain information from lessons and build upon it during private study.
