Personal Description:

I am a medical sciences graduate currently studying clinical medicine at Trinity College, Oxford. I attended Eltham College from years 7 to 11 (aged 11-16) and then moved to Latymer Upper School for the Sixth Form (aged 16-18).
GCSE grades - 8A*, 2A
A-Level - 4A* (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths), 1A (Latin)

Tutoring Experience:

In 2013, I volunteered as a teacher in a local primary school, where I taught Latin

Tutoring Approach:

I approach each subject slightly differently with emphasis being placed mainly on past papers, note making and explanation, whilst also trying to make lessons as fun and engaging as possible.

Latin - I believe that knowing the vocabilary and the grammar of the language is the most important part of understanding translations and set texts.

Maths - I think practising is the best way to learn and develop confidence

Biology, chemistry and physics - a set of comprehensive notes are very important, as well as practising the use of equations and the drawing of complex diagrams as much as possible.

Entrance exams - Practice and building confidence is essential at all entrance exam levels. For university, I can help with writing and checking personal statements, practice for medical interviews and entrance exam practice (specialising in the BMAT and UKCAT).
