Personal Description:

Do you want to get into law school or into your first choice law firm? Then I can definitely help you. If you need extra confidence, knowledge, skills or want to know the ideal way to present yourself, together we can boost all of those. I can take you right through to that crucial interview practice and give you stacks of exam and interview tips and presentation techniques that will boost your chances of success with those hard to get into law schools and law firms. I see my job as getting you ahead of the competition.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a qualified solicitor and completed my training at Allen & Overy LLP in London. I became a senior lawyer there and was encouraged to pursue partnership. Being a partner was not for me by that stage in my life so I moved on to become a senior lecturer on the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in London where I designed and delivered courses in Property Law, Debt Finance, Commerical Property Law, Solicitors' Skills such as solicitors accounts, interviewing, advocacy, negotiation, commercial awareness, business skills. I love working with young, committed, eager people who are hungry for success and willing to learn. At BPP I also spent many years devising the exam questions, writing the case studies and knowing the marking schemes for those exams! I then spent 7 years as a professional trainer at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP and taught lawyers from all over the world in a variety of legal and commercial subjects and skills including interviewing techniques, negotiation skills, presentation and impact skills and a variety of legal and business skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I take an interactive approach with students and aim to make sessions engaging, dynamic, fun but realistic and achievable. We will go at your pace and I will offer encouragement, motivation and ideas for your progress, all based on your objectives. The idea is to get you results and skills that will last you for life, boosting your future career success. I do that by using coaching techniques where your needs and your objectives are at the heart of everything we do together. I will bring my considerable academic and commercial experience to the sessions that will ensure you are on the right track. I am very open and you can ask me anything. There is no stupid question and I make no assumptions.
